Bell and Ross at Baselworld 2015

Bell & Ross scrapes up a plethora of homages this season with its new updates. The most significant of it is the tenth anniversary of the BR01 – the flight instrument inspired design that was a game changer for the company when it first came out in 2005. Ten years on, it remains a strong part of the brand’s DNA and thus an adequate reason to celebrate its tenth year milestone with a limited edition of 500 pieces.

On the other end of the Bell & Ross spectrum, is the BR-X1 that symbolizes an evolution of the line. Considered the fifth generation of the BR series, a high-end chronograph with a more sophisticated build-up (Multi-material using Carbone forgé®, titanium, ceramic, rubber) on the simple BR look with haute horlogerie finishes. The watch also doubles down as a tribute to the Bell X-1, the first American experimental plane with a rocket engine to break the sound barrier in 1947.

Additionally, there’s the WW1 Edicon Limitada (Limited to 99 pcs) which is a vintage manual winding mechanical wristwatch. The colour scheme of the watch displays shades of brown that are meant to reference Cuban cigars and the case accompanying the watch can hold up to 50 pieces of cigars.
