A Carpet full of Watches
This carpet. made by artist Heidi Voet, is made of four thousand watches that are all set to the exact time and at intervals throughout the day, the watch’s alarms chim together and since these are cheap watches, their eventual wear and tear is spun by the artist as a representation of how “the march of time ultimately results in dissolution and increased chaos”. Nothing is wasted apparently.
This work was first done with 3000 watches in 2010 and then re-done for a 2011 exhibit where it was named as “*Is six afraid of seven, ’cause seven, eight, nine, I’m about to lose the pieces I find”
Wow, this is what I call art. I’ve never thought I’ll see such a thing. Just shows you that human imagination has no limits.
It is amazing.
Looks like Great. I Pieces of Work. I Love it.
I think that that rug made of watches is really cool. It is a true work of art. I love it. Check out this other piece of art, the Android Skeleton Watch with it’s beautiful skeletonized internals.
It’s basic, however eficfient. You could might write up coming posts talking about this short article. I have to continue reading problems over it! I love looking at your site and appear toward all your posts! Let me make sure to book mark your website.
