This is MB&F’s contribution to this year’s Only Watch event – a collaboration with Chinese artist, Huang Hankang. Only watch is a charity auction that happens every two years to be benefit research into duchenne muscular dystrophy. Many well known haute horlogerie brands contribute one-offs to the auction. This year’s edition will take place in Monaco on the 22nd of September 2011.

My theory is that metal bands tend to compete with the watch face
for attention, while rubber straps do not, and so the rubber straps tend to show the watch face off better.

The MBF Panda Watch is really stunning with the conical shape as that of a jet wing-propeller. The design is completely unique and the credit goes to Huang Hankang and above all it is a charity auction.

cool flying panda picture, great blog that you have going on, unique design on that watch, maybe someone should think about creating a similar design , and sell the product , but not too expensive

What a strange but unique watch. Its not something I would buy but there are people out there who like “crazy zany” designs.

Wow. This watch seems so high tech like it’s something from the future! to pawn a watch like that would probably be hard since it’s so very unique. You would have to find the perfect buyer. At http://www.bobswatches.com they have a large variety of used rolex watches and used watch buyers where you may find a match!
